1. Grid application

We will make all applications needed to check local grid capacity and system sizes with the Distribution Network Operator (DNO). Our team specialises in producing, submitting and managing applications and have a record of hundreds of school sites.

2. Pre-installation and electrical survey

As part of preparing for installation, our specialist electrical engineers will come to your school to produce a report. The survey looks at details such as cable runs and inverter size and location, and helps us ensure that, when the time comes, the installation runs as smoothly as possible.

3. Structural survey

We arrange the necessary building and structural surveys to check the school is able to withstand the solar installation. This step involves a specialist team of structural engineers which produce the report required for site due diligence.

4. Planning permission check

We write, submit and manage all communications with required planning departments for your school. We have a successful track record of managing both Prior Notice Approval applications (for sites over 50kWp installations), and applications for Full Planning Approval (for more difficult sites). We can determine quickly what kind of application is needed for your project.
