What have we been up to this summer? (Sep 01, 2017)

We are excited to announce the opening of Solar for Schools in India.
Over the last 6 month, we have worked on setting up a local subsidiary in Chennai, India, piloting our program with our local partner, Suresh Oliver, who is investing in the local subsidiary and will be managing the local team and operations.

We are excited to finally announce the news and to start providing Indian schools with free solar and energy education! There are already 8 schools who have expressed interest!

This is a big move for us at Solar for Schools and marks our expansion into a third country. Our greater goal to provide solar to schools worldwide is becoming more real with each new country we enter into. As cofounders Robert and Martin proposed when starting Solar for Schools, the goal was to enter into a new country each year. We are proud to say that we have met that goal so far.

Not to reveal any spoilers, but the next country we enter into in 2018 may be on a new continent…

Thank you for your support and for sharing our goal-- solar on every school worldwide is the future and we are hear to help make it happen in a meaningful way.
